Several recent studies have identified foods that help reduce abdominal fat: whole grains, dried fruits, nuts, melon, blueberries, monounsaturated fats and dairy. Here's a quick and easy plan designed around these foods.

 Total Prep Time: 20 Minutes

 

Ingredients

 

- 30g dry whole wheat spaghettini 

- 1 tbsp Parmesan cheese

- 5 raw mushroom caps

- 1/2 zucchini, cut into 5 chunks

- 5 pineapple chunks, brushed with 2 tsp extra-virgin olive oil

- 15 large raw prawns

- 1 tomato, sliced

- 30g fresh bocconcini cheese, sliced

- 2 tsp balsamic vinegar

- 1/4 tsp oregano

 

Instructions

 

Preheat gas grill or prepare charcoal fire on grill. Cook spaghettini in boiling water according to package directions. Drain and toss with Parmesan cheese. Alternate mushroom caps, zucchini and pineapple chunks on metal skewers; brush with olice oil. Grill prawns and skewers for 2 or 3 minutes of each side until veggies are hot and prawns are pink and opaque.

Don't overcook. Top sliced tomato with boccocini cheese, drizzle with vinegar and sprinkle on oregano.
